Melbourne Resilience Pumping Station

The Melbourne Resilience Pumping Station is a key part of a broader initiative for STW, designed to enhance the resilience of strategic water supplies in the region. The project features two variable-speed drive-controlled 560kW pumps, along with advanced controls and instrumentation to ensure efficient operation.

Collaborating closely with the main contractor, MMB, MEL was responsible for the design, installation, testing, and certification of several crucial elements. This included low-voltage power supplies, instrumentation and control cabling—with seamless integration into the site’s existing fibre network—and both external and internal lighting, supported by comprehensive photometric design documentation.
